Vancouver, November 2, 2007 - Scorpio Mining Corporation (TSX:SPM) is pleased to report additional underground drill results targeting the Nuestra Senora main body from the 6th, 8th , 9th and 11th Levels of its 100% owned Nuestra Senora deposit, Sinaloa State, Mexico.

Peter J. Hawley, Chairman, CEO reports, "The grades from the 11th Level (Table 4) are showing a consistent and uniform metal content with the occasional high-grade sweet spot showing grades in the 1,000 to 2,600 grams per ton silver range with no indication of silver grades or widths decreasing at depth. All known mineralization remains open in all directions. The Company continues to advance the underground development and mill construction."

President, Mr. D. Roger Scammell, PGeo, is the Company's Qualified Person for the Nuestra Señora project. Mr. Scammell is responsible for the current exploration and development program and has reviewed the content of this release. All technical information for the Nuestra Señora property is obtained and reported under a formal quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program. Samples are shipped to the ALS Chemex preparation laboratory in Hermosillo, Mexico for drying, crushing and pulverizing. ALS Chemex, Hermosillo then sends the pulps by air-freight to ALS Chemex, Vancouver for assaying. Systematic assaying of standards and blanks are performed for the precision and accuracy; check assays are regularly conducted by SGS Lakefield Research.
