Vancouver, September 19, 2007 - Scorpio Mining Corporation (TSX:SPM) is pleased to report additional underground drill results targeting the Nuestra Señora main body from the 9.5 sublevel, 10th level and 10.5 sublevel of its 100% owned Nuestra Señora deposit, Sinaloa State, Mexico.
Peter J. Hawley, Chairman, CEO reports, "The exploration and definition drilling from the 9.5 to 10.5 sublevels, which includes the 10th level situated 210 metres vertically below surface, continues to demonstrate significant mineralization over mineable widths. The Company utilizes three dimensional modelling to define drill targets, and is focusing not only on the existing bodies as part of an integrated mine plan for extraction, but continues to successfully explore at depth and peripheral to the known deposits. Currently there are four underground diamond drills on the project."
